Marko L. Burgar is a graduate of Emory University Law School and the University of Notre
Dame. With 20 years of experience, Marko concentrates his practice on DUI, criminal defense,
general litigation, and representation of builders and developers. Marko’s criminal defense
practice includes focused training and experience in drug DUI cases, complex vehicular
accidents, and the coordination of a criminal defense with corresponding civil suits. Marko
brings with him nine years of experience as a prosecutor in the Atlanta courts, and has been an
instructor for DUI matters at the Georgia State Police Academy. He was also recognized for his
prosecution efforts during the 1996 Atlanta Olympic Games and has made appearances on
Court TV. Marko is a member of the National College for DUI Defense, the Georgia
Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, and the National Association of Criminal
Defense Lawyers. Our ability to creatively solve problems for our clients by drawing upon our
